WhichCraft Is Expanding! Second Location to Open This Fall in Mueller.

Yes, you read that right! It is with great excitement we are able to share our plans to expand WhichCraft to the Mueller development in Austin this fall.

We continue to be awed, inspired, and very grateful to the reception our little beer store has received from our customers, suppliers, and the brewing community over the last 2+ years. Without all of your continued support, my dream of having a world class bottle shop would still be just that – a dream.

What’s even more exciting than our geographical expansion, and the chance to meet and connect with so many new customers, is the fact that we’re expanding our business as well. Since day one, customers have asked us whether they can open a full beer and consume it on site. Well, at WhichCraft Mueller, you can. Our city zoning and TABC permit types will allow us to operate a model not seen thus far here in Austin – a combination on- and off-premise consumption bottle shop. Our space is right in between the brand new L’Oca d’Oro restaurant and Bribery Bakery, next door to the Thinkery.

We’ll still have a fantastic selection of bottled and canned craft beer to go, both room temp and cold. But we’ll also be adding ~30 taps so you can have a beer on site as well. Yes, there will be seating. We’ll be creating a coffee program to include espresso, pour overs, and cold brew. We’ll have light snacks and some prepackaged food, or we’ll allow you to bring in your own food. We envision an extension of the community feel you already receive at WhichCraft S Lamar; a place to explore new beers, pick out a few things to take home, participate in a free tasting event, and interact with our knowledgeable staff. And since I’ll be the GM of this location for a while, you’ll most likely see Bubba there from time to time as well!

The original WhichCraft on S Lamar will continue to operate as is for the foreseeable future. And in fact, we’re working on a couple things that will make it even more of a destination beer store. Tim Vela will continue to be the GM of this location, as he has been for the past year.

Thank you again for your continued support of WhichCraft. We can’t wait to share a beer with you at Mueller this fall!

Do you know when you’ll start accepting resume’s for bartenders and bottle shop staff?
    Thank you.

    1. Hi Laura,

I’m a little ways away from starting hiring for our full time and part time positions. But if you’d like to send over your resume anyway, please do so and I’ll add it to the file I’m keeping once we get a bit closer. Email: jody[at]whichcraftbeerstore.com.

      thanks!

      Jody
